Summary: Must be qualified
to obtain a Colorado or New Mexico State Welders license and have a minimum of
4 years industrial and heavy commercial experience as a welder.
Qualifications:
v Ability to
set up a welding machine and safe welding area.
v Perform a
weld test prior to employment / coupon inspected and x-rayed by a private firm
v Provide
copies of prior weld certification
v Experience
in reading blueprints
v Experience
with isometric drawings
v Knowledge
of tools and techniques used in the welding process
v Knowledge
of welding processes and potential hazards
v Common
knowledge of industrial installation and welding standards and practices
v Dependability
Skills
Required:
v Capable of
working with and directing 1 to 2 apprentices/helpers or pipe fitters with
direction from supervision
v Capable of
producing material requests for piping systems in advance
v Capable of
following all safety policies and company policies
v Capable of
proper use of company tools and equipment
v Good communication
and problem solving skills
v Must be a
self motivated and proactive tradesman
