Job Description: Construction Project Manager

Are you a team leader and motivator with a “Can-Do” attitude, capable of coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors on a diverse range of projects in typical to unique and demanding environments?

Founded in 1976, with offices in Albuquerque and Colorado Springs, Big J is a growth oriented Mechanical Contractor and provider of In-Plant Services to clients in New Mexico and Southern Colorado. Our market focus is high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor, food/beverage processing, pharmaceutical, research & development, DOE national laboratories and select commercial projects.

As a Big J Project Manager you are supported by Project Controls, Administrative, HR and Accounting staff, allowing you to focus on bringing projects to completion safely, on time, to budget and with high client satisfaction.

Preferred Experience:

v 4 years project management experience (minimum)

v Management of projects in market sectors noted above

v Successful management of projects in the $2,000,000 - $5,000,000+ range

Education, Training, Skills:

v Post high school degree (preferred)

o Graduate of a 2 or 4 year program

v Industry or trade group training / certification

v Computer literate:

o Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, Project, Primavera (preferred)

v Highly organized

v Excellent written / verbal skills

Responsibilities:

v Overall project responsibility

v Report directly to Director Of Projects

v Progress monitoring and reporting

v Safety management

v Risk management

v Coordination of work among trades, subcontractors, other contractors

v Resource / material management

v Change order management

v Work closely with Estimating, Procurement

v Assist HR with interview / hiring of personnel

v Contract related matters

v Client relations

v DOE Q or L clearance desirable
