Title: Orbital Welder

General Summary: Qualified to obtain a Colorado or New Mexico State Plumbing, Gas fitters or Pipe fitters license. Ability to operate orbital welding machines and install high purity stainless tubing systems.

Qualifications:

v Ability to develop a weld program given the tube OD and wall thickness

v Experience in the operation of an AMI 107 or AMI 207 welding machine or equivalent

v AMI Certification or the equivalent

v Ability to pass a written test on installation of High purity systems with after training is provided.

v Experience in reading blueprints

v Experience with isometric drawings

v Knowledge of tools and techniques used in installing pipe systems

v Competency in math skills

v Common knowledge of industrial installation standards and practices

v Understanding of OSHA LO/TO requirement.

v Ability to fallow strict installation specification

v Ability to maintain and calibrate Orbital welding equipment.

v Dependability

Skills Required:

v Capable of working with Instrumentation fitter

v Capable of installing complex piping systems with direction from supervision

v Capable of producing material requests for piping systems

v Capable of following all safety policies and company policies

v Capable of proper use of company tools and equipment

v Good communication and problem solving skills

v Must be a self motivated and professional tradesman

Preferred Experience:

v Clean room construction experience a plus

v High purity pipe installation

v Ultra high pure tubing installation

v Stainless steel tube bending

Education and training: (helpful but not necessarily required)

v Documented training certificates

v Documented participation in the trade apprenticeship programs

v Documented trade experience

v Employer provided training programs

v High School diploma/GED

v Computer literacy

v Vendor supplied training certificates

v Valid drivers license

References and Employment History:

v History of longevity with employers a plus

v References will be requested and checked

v Employment history will be verified

v 10 year criminal history background check required prior to employment

v Pre-employment drug screening required
