Title: Journeyman HVAC Installer

General Summary: Must be qualified to obtain a New Mexico or Colorado State Journeyman’s HVAC license and have a minimum of 4 years industrial and commercial sheet metal experience

Qualifications:

v Fiberglass duct installation a plus

v Prior welding experience a plus

v Pipe fitting experience a plus

v Experience in reading blueprints

v Experience with isometric drawings

v Knowledge of tools and techniques used in the sheet metal trades

v Knowledge of Teflon coated SS systems a plus

v Common knowledge of industrial installation standards and practices

v Dependability

Skills Required:

v Capable of working with and directing 1 to 2 apprentices/helpers or pipe fitters with direction from supervision

v Capable of producing material requests for piping systems in advance

v Capable of following all safety policies and company policies

v Capable of proper use of company tools and equipment

v Good communication and problem solving skills

v Must be a self motivated and proactive tradesman

Preferred Experience:

v Clean room construction experience a plus

v HVAC type “B” licence a plus

v HVAC type “D” licence a plus

Education and training: (helpful but not necessarily required)

v Documented training certificates

v Documented participation in the trade apprenticeship programs

v Documented trade experience

v Employer provided training programs

v High School diploma/GED

v Computer literacy

v Vendor supplied training certificates

v Valid drivers license

References and Employment History:

v History of longevity with employers a plus

v References will be requested and checked

v Employment history will be verified

v 10 year criminal history background check required prior to employment

v Pre-employment drug screening required
