LICENSED JOURNEYMAN & APPRENTICES ARE IN DEMAND!

... and receiving top dollar for their skills across the country. Apprentice programs provide an excellent opportunity to gain the skills and experience needed to earn your Journeyman License PLUS a motivating paycheck!

Compare typical New Mexico Apprentice pay with the food industry, retail or other service industries:

  • 1st Year Apprentice: $8.50/hr

  • 4th Year Apprentice: $16.00/hr

Contrary to what you see on TV or may think, a career in construction requires math, computer, people, organizational and business skills in addition to trade skills. With your Journeyman License you can progress to:

  • Foreman

  • Superintendent

  • Project Manager

  • Business Owner

each position with increasing responsibility and pay.

Apprentice programs provide you the opportunity to learn the necessary skills, get valuable hands-on experience and be paid a above average wage while you learn.

Big J participates in apprenticeship programs sponsored by the IEC and ABC. Click on logo's below to learn more about the apprentice programs provided by these outstanding organizations.
